Pickleball

Havre Boucher Pickleball Group

The Havre Boucher Pickleball Group was formed in early 2019 when Mark Fougere helped introduce local players to the sport and provided training on the rules of pickleball. Since then, the group has grown into a welcoming recreational activity for community members looking to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy friendly games throughout the year.

Pickleball is played at the Havre Boucher Community Centre, which is currently set up with two courts. Each court allows teams of two players per side, with capacity for up to eight players playing at one time.

What We Offer

The Havre Boucher Pickleball Group provides opportunities for friendly pickleball games throughout the year. Players use a mobile application called Playtime Scheduler to see when local games are scheduled and whether there are available openings to join.

Please note that scheduled time slots may occasionally be cancelled due to other events taking place at the Community Centre. Cancellations are usually announced well in advance.

Who Can Join

Pickleball continues to grow in popularity and is enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels. Adults are welcome to attend and discover why the sport has become one of the fastest-growing recreational activities in North America.

Spare paddles are available for beginners who would like to try the game. New players are encouraged to attend the Wednesday or Friday afternoon sessions, where experienced players are happy to introduce the rules, basic skills, and game etiquette.

The group is also interested in helping create opportunities for local teenagers to begin their pickleball journey. As interest grows, the group hopes to encourage youth participation and provide a welcoming environment where younger players can learn the sport, develop their skills, and enjoy an active, social activity within the community.

A small number of newcomers may also be scheduled during an evening time slot by contacting This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
